What is CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting is an FDA cleared alternative to the traditional liposuction procedure. CoolSculpting uses Cryolipolysis™ technology to safely and effectively kill unwanted fat cells by freezing the fat. There is absolutely no anesthetic or incisions in this procedure. There is also no downtime which allows you to return to your regular routine immediately after your treatment. By targeting certain fat areas, your fat is safely cooled to damage the fat cells without harming the surrounding skin or tissue. During the following weeks, your body will naturally metabolize the damaged fat cells out of your body; leaving a new, slimmer you.
How Does CoolSculpting Work?
During your CoolSculpting treatment, we start by placing a protective gel over the targeted treatment area. Once you are comfortable, the CoolSculpting device will use a combination of deep cooling and vacuum pressure to freeze the unwanted fat cells. Patients usually sit comfortable while the device works, often watching a movie, surfing the web, or reading a book. Most treatments take about an hour for each treatment area.

The CoolSculpting procedure uses a specifically designed handpiece to hold the targeted area of fat in place between two cooling panels. Each application of the handpiece requires one hour for the cooling to destroy fat cells. During that time you can sit back, work on your laptop, read a book, watch a movie, or play games on your cell phone. When the cycle is completed the handpiece is removed and the treated area is massaged for a few minutes. You now have the option to get up and go or treat another area. Approximately two weeks post fat freezing you come in for the relaxing heat of the skin tightening procedure to maximize results.
